Austria publishes a study booklet and a practice test, not a full list of exam questions. The booklet covers the two federal areas and your province covers the third. None of it costs anything to download.

The democratic order has eight: human dignity, Austria as a liberal state, as a state under the rule of law, as a democracy, as a republic and as a federal state, then the separation of powers and membership of the European Union.
History has nine: early settlers, the Habsburgs, the upheavals of the nineteenth century, the rise of nation states and the end of the monarchy, 1918 to 1938, National Socialism and the Second World War, the Second Republic, modern Austria and the path into Europe.
The regulation says the focus should be the Second Republic, today's political system, Austria's foreign policy and how citizens take part. It asks for an overview, not detail.
The booklet suggests two to four months at 15 to 30 minutes a day, plus two to four weeks for your province's history and a week or two in reserve. That means starting between two and a half and five and a half months before the exam.
Vienna says the test and the study material are free. The federal booklet and every provincial booklet we could reach are free downloads. Steiermark also sells a printed script for 6 euro.
