Austria publishes the study material but no question catalogue, so no app can contain the official questions, whatever it says. Here is what each one offers, checked on 20 October 2026, and what to look for before you pay.

This is one piece of it. See the whole journey on belongaustria.appBelong Austria makes one of the apps on this page, so read it knowing that. Every line about another app is what its publisher says on its own App Store page, Google Play page or website, read on 20 October 2026, with the link under Sources. Question counts are each publisher's own claim. Nobody has audited them, ours included.
Ours first so you know where it stands, the rest in no particular order. Prices and counts are as each publisher stated them on 20 October 2026.
Start with the free federal Lernunterlage and Übungstest, and your province's booklet. If you want more practice than that, choose an app whose mock follows the real paper.
If you also want to know where you stand on everything else Austrian citizenship asks of you, Belong Austria is the one built for that: residence, German at B1, the ten year path and time abroad, in the same app as the practice. What you enter stays on your phone.
No. The federal government offers the Lernunterlage and a free online practice test on staatsbuergerschaft.gv.at, but no app. Every app on this page is independent.
No. The study material is published, but not a catalogue of the questions on the real paper.
1,003 questions, drilled topic by topic in the order Anlage A sets them, with a mistakes deck, spaced repetition and a mock at the real paper’s pace: 12 questions in 80 minutes, six on the democratic order and six on Austria’s history. The mock gives you a score and no pass verdict, because six of the real 18 are on the history of your own province and those are not ours to write.
Written by Belong Austria around the topics of Anlage A. They are not the official questions, and each has exactly one correct answer, where a real question can have up to three.
